At the White Horse Inn we have a 65 seater A la Carte Restaurant and are known for producing excellent home cooked food.

All our meals are freshly prepared to order and seasonal ingredients from local suppliers are used wherever possible.

Starters may include

  • Homemade Soup of the Day served with rustic bread & butter
  • A Course Game Potted Pate, Chef's own recipe made with fresh local game served with warm toast, Cumberland sauce and salad garnish
  • Smoked Salmon, Prawn & Apple Cocktail in a light lemon & dill mayonnaise with a twist of lime
  • A Tartlette Case filled with field mushrooms wrapped in Applewood Mature Smoked Cheddar sauce then baked and topped with a slice of Stilton & served with balsamic tossed salad leaves
  • Smoked Duck Caesar Salad, home smoked strips of Duck served on a lightly tossed Caesar salad

Main Courses from £10.95 include

  • Half Shoulder of Cornish Lamb 'Our Signature Dish' served with an orange, cranberry & port jus
  • Beef & Guinness Cobbler a marvellous combination of Devon Beef & Irish Stout topped with a herb scone
  • Chicken breast, stuffed with Chorizo Sausage, Mozzarella Cheese, wrapped in smoked bacon & served with a roasted garlic and tomato sauce
  • A Duo of Local Duck & Venison cooked pink and served with capers cream & brandy
  • Slow Roasted Local Belly Pork served on a bed of cheddar mash with a sage, apple and brandy sauce

  • Westcountry Goats’ Cheese & Spinach Strudel using the best of Somerset Goats Cheese from the Lubborn Creamery, with a cranberry & orange sauce
